There are proper strategies and techniques involved with any type of business but none of these will do you any good until you develop the right mental attitude. As an entrepreneur the first thing you must understand is the fact that you will generally get what you expect to get.
So if you go into a new venture assuming it isn’t going to work out, you’ll be right. If you are sure that work from home success is something only other people enjoy, your efforts will not produce much in the way of profits.
On the other hand if you know you have the right stuff to live the dream of running a profitable home business you are already halfway there. If you know in advance that you will be successful and it’s just a matter of when and where, you’ll be right.
It’s amazing the number of people who are “trying to make money from home” who openly express doubt in the validity of such efforts. These individuals will often roll their eyes and talk about how it’s a bunch of pie-in-the-sky nonsense, and yet they spend good time and money on every opportunity they can find.
The truth, in many cases, is that people want to fail; they expect it. And once they have invested a good sum of cash into their home business only to watch it flop they can wail and moan without end about how they lost their savings to an opportunity scam.
But what should you do if you don’t have this kind of bizarre self-defeat fantasy? Two things:
1. Believe you deserve big-time success.
2. Know beyond a reasonable doubt that you’ll have it.
The rest is a downhill ride with the wind at your back.
Yes it may take months, even a couple of years, to really build the kind of lucrative business you want. And you might fail a few times along the way. But as long as you believe you’ll make it all will be well once the smoke clears.
What people tend to forget is that almost all businesses have a slow start. And many new business owners lose money hand over fist in the beginning. It’s normal.
Don’t fall into the infomercial mentality and think you can make easy money doing nothing. Once your business is established you will be able to make big money while you sleep, but in the beginning you’ll need to find your place and that takes time.
The majority of brick and mortar businesses require 2 to 5 years to fully realize their profitability. While this can happen more quickly with an online home business there is no guarantee that it will.
Become an ultra-optimist and keep track of all the things that go your way. Measure forward progress and keep this in front of you at all times.
Also open yourself up to becoming a great receiver. Don’t resist the flow and get hung up on having things one way only; be open to new inspirations and being shown the way by the larger forces of life.
Believe you are an unstoppable success story being written with every next step. Act as if this is 100% true and you’ll soon enough find that it is indeed.
