Snack Smart = On Your Way To Smart Eating
I've never been a big fan of counting calories. In fact, in the past year I've lost about 25 pounds - all without counting a single dietary digit. Sure, I know to keep records of everything you put into your mouth can help peel off pounds, but I also know that obsessing over calories make you more likely to eat low-fat, low-fiber foods, that wouldn't necessarily make a big difference. If you are eating healthy portions in moderation, that is what counts.
Instead of crunching numbers, I munched on healthy foods to become a weight loss success. For snacks, add protein, such as lowfat string of cheese or parmesan to your between-meal bites. I love hummus and dip vegetables into it instead of pita bread or crackers. If a food lover like me can do it, you can try too! It's easier to Strip That Fat than you think!
Pick Up Colorful Fruits & Veggies

Have at least one fruit and veggie at every meal. Toss berries for breakfast on cereal, or cut up some peaches and add to nonfat yogurt and sprinkle it with granola. Fruits and veggies are high in fiber, which staves off hunger. Shoot for nine servings daily. It sounds like a lot, but if you don't have to be a rabbit to reach that goal. A little attention to portions can help you eat less and still stay satisfied. Half the plate should get veggies, top another quarter with lean protein(3 to 6oz) of chicken, fish or tofu and last quarter with whole grains - brown rice, sweet potatoes or whole wheat pasta. Healthy eating will make you fit for life!
